Steve provides timely local newscasts at 6am, 7am, 8am, noon, and 5pm; and breaking news reports when warranted. Steve also pulls double duty serving as the Weather Director, breaking into "full coverage" during volatile weather.
Joey Elbert KUOO Sports Director Joey Elbert covers sports all around the area. Joey broadcasts football, basketball, baseball and softball throughout the year. He covers sports for Spirit Lake and Okoboji, with occasional broadcasts for Harris-Lake Park, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, Sibley-Ocheyedan and Lakeland school districts.

Chad Taylor Chad started his radio career in Racine, WI at Sunny 104.7 in 1995 as the afternoon announcer / production director. After radio stops in Milwaukee, North Chicago, and Tampa, he landed back in the Midwest at Des Moines’s Star 102.5 in December 2006. He also owns and operates his own entertainment management company with his wife Tracy. They have managed the likes of Jordan Knight, Color Me Badd, Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees, PM Dawn, MC Brains, and currently handle Danny Wood (another NKOTB alumnus). Chad has managed and performed with these artists all over the globe since 2003. Between his air shifts at FM 104 KUOO, he works with his company Z International Entertainment LLC, and is an affiliate writer / publisher for ASCAP (co-wrote the hit "Where is your heart Tonight" for Jordan Knight that peaked at #12 on the Billboard AC Chart). Chad also co-wrote "Believe" for the Hurricane Katrina victims with Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys, Aaron Carter, Jordan Knight, and Jeff Timmons. He has appeared on national TV shows including VH1 Surreal Life season 3, VH1 Bands Reunited, Knight Vision for syndicated morning show the Daily Buzz, and most recently secured Jeff Timmons / Bryan Abrams on the VH1 reality show "Manband" that aired over the summer of 2007.
